Jisun died on his 20th birthday from exhaustion due to his eating disorder and addiction to exercise.
He was a loner in his mortal life, avoiding people and hiding in the gym, art room, or in his bedroom away from his family and friends. He was severely bullied by his classmates due to his sexuality, and a video leaked online of him kissing someone of the same gender. He lost all his friends to the rumours spread about him, and was hated by students and teachers alike.
After graduating high school, Jisun pursued his dream of becoming an artist, and came close to completing that goal before his untimely death. Due to dying from trauma, Jisun was brought back to life as if he hadn't died, memories wiped. However, he was given a rule. He was to complete his goal and find his soul mate before time ran out
